What you need to know about testosterone

Xtreme-Testosterone Review

Testosterone, Test, the big “T” – it goes by so many names and terms, but how much do you really know about testosterone?

In my 30 years in the business, I’ve come across so many athletes and bodybuilders who have asked me about testosterone. Some people think of testosterone as a wonder drug that would magically give them big muscles. Some think that testosterone is the secret to a better sex life. While all of these are benefits of testosterone, I always answer them by asking a simple question:

Why do you think you need testosterone? I always ask people this question because I want to set their expectations about what testosterone really does for the body.

If you want to get big muscles fast, simply getting testosterone wouldn’t give you big muscles just by taking it. You need the proper exercise and dedication to get you what you want. Testosterone affects muscle mass development, and all you need is that push to make testosterone work for you. It’s just a bonus that testosterone gives you a little more encouragement to exercise, because it does work wonders when you act on it.

If you want a healthier sex life, testosterone would help you (and even your lady) to get more satisfaction during sex. Men would notice that they perform better sexually when they were younger, and this may be a good reason to use testosterone supplements.

Men have 10 times more testosterone than women. It builds primary male characteristics. It’s what makes us men. It tells your body how much muscle you could build in your arms, legs, and chest. It gets you in the mood for sex and it regulates how much erections you could have. However, as men age, our testosterone production is halted at some point – then it starts to decline.

At some point between the ages of 30-35, your testosterone production halts and starts to decline. Slowly but surely, your sexual performance, appetite, and stamina all start to decline. No matter how hard you work at the gym, you could only build muscle up to a certain limit – and it’s all because of the decline in your testosterone levels.

It’s a scientifically-proven fact that testosterone boosters can influence muscle mass development. That’s why it’s the drug of choice for bodybuilders back in the day. Anabolic steroids were developed to flood the body with testosterone and with it come massive muscle mass development.

The problem with Anabolic Steroids

The real problem with anabolic steroids is the dependency that your body develops after using it. Your body no longer makes an effort to produce its own testosterone, and it would only rely on the testosterone that you’re putting in your body. This could seriously develop complications, and things could spiral down quite easily. That’s why it’s banned by all governing bodies in athletics.

The Supplement Advantage

Anabolic steroids are not the only sources of testosterone. You don’t need to flood your body with testosterone; all you need is to help your body produce testosterone naturally.  Testosterone supplements are different from anabolic steroids because they come from natural sources, which would only enhance your body’s capability of producing its own testosterone. Products that contain epimedium and tongkat ali are the best sources of testosterone from supplements.

The best part about taking Testosterone supplements is that your body does not create a dependency. Your body is still producing testosterone the natural way, and the only difference is you’re helping your body do it.

Going back to the question: Do you need testosterone supplements?

As far as bodybuilding and sexual performance is concerned, yes. You need testosterone supplements. It’s the one thing your body couldn’t get enough of, especially as you age. You just need to keep an eye out for bogus testosterone supplements. Bogus supplement manufacturers know that testosterone supplements sell like pancakes, and they just know how to sniff and dupe a supplement newbie.

A good testosterone booster I’ve tried is Xtreme Testosterone. It contains both Epimedium and Tongkat Ali, and it proves to be an effective source of testosterone. It’s one of the best muscle-building supplements I’ve ever tried, and you simply couldn’t replace its benefits with pre-workout supplements and protein powders that other gym rats take.

I hope this article about Testosterone helped you understand what it is about. Got questions about testosterone and bodybuilding? Shoot me with a question below!
