MusclePharm Gainz Post Workout Supplement review

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a post-workout supplement. To be fair, there are quite a few post-workout supplements in the market and not many rank post-workout supplements as a priority when shopping for supplements. For most of us, taking protein is enough to supply our muscles with nutrients to help during the recovery phase, and that’s what MusclePharm Hardcore Series Gainz is trying to change.

MusclePharm puts the recent creatine and beta alanine research into good use with Gainz. Basically, Gains is BCAA plus Creatine. MusclePharm also markets Gainz as a transparent product, without having to hide any of its ingredients in “proprietary blends” which is a barrier for making an informed choice. It’s important to note that Gainz is banned substance free, and artificial dyes and coloring free.

What you need to know

Creatine back in the day is known as a pre-workout supplement that’s supposed to help you build energy before working out. Now that we know that it doesn’t matter if you load creatine, or take creatine pre/post workout, better formulas have been created like MusclePharm Gainz. Creatine with Beta Alanine makes more sense as a post-workout supplement since it can reduce soreness after working out – which is important especially on leg day.

Who uses MusclePharm Hardcore Series Gainz?

Post-workout supplements like Gainz are likely to be used by people who would want to make the most out of their workouts. For most of us, protein and creatine is enough, but for those hardcore, performance junkies, taking a post workout supplement also helps.

Effectiveness

MusclePharm has a habit of mixing two products into one, and launching new product line as a result. Gainz is no different from the famous product combos that MusclePharm has. Like what we have mentioned earlier, Gainz is basically a combination of BCAAs plus  Creatine with Beta Alanine. These ingredients do not work hand-in hand. BCAAs work to improve muscle synthesis, while creatine and beta alanine work on muscle energy and endurance.

BCAAs are present in whey protein formulas. The only difference is that BCAAs are easily absorbed, which is important when you’re in the cutting phase to prevent muscle catabolism or the breakdown of muscle tissue. MusclePharm Gainz contains 4 grams of BCAAs, which should be enough to supply your muscles with enough amino acids to prevent muscle breakdown. BCAAs plus L-glutamine provides ample nutrition to help build muscle during your recovery period.

Creatine works by increasing ATP levels in your muscles. Increased creatine improves muscle strength, while Beta Alanine mutes lactic acid in your muscles – the acid primarily responsible for the burning sensation connected to muscle fatigue. Creatine and Beta Alanine taken after workout reduces soreness, which extends to the following days during recovery. Reduced soreness alleviates constriction of blood vessels, which allow a faster muscle recovery.

Ingredients

  • BCAA
  • L-Glutamine
  • Beta Alanine
  • Creatine HCl

Conclusion

The MusclePharm Gainz stack is undoubtedly one of the best supplements for muscle gain. It reduces soreness and it provides the necessary nutrients that your muscles need during recovery. Add also the fact that its BCAA content reduces the risk of muscle catabolism. Sounds great for a supplement, right?

It almost sounds perfect if you would overlook the fact that there’s an absence of ingredients that speed up nutrient delivery in the muscles, which is crucial in speeding up recovery periods. Ingredients like L-Arginine and Yohimbe would have made this stack even more awesome than it already is.

What we would recommend

If you’re planning to purchase Gainz, don’t forget to take your pre-workout supplements to help you during workouts, and your protein powder. Bind them all together by taking the best supplement for muscle building, NitroGenix 365. Gainz and most PWOs do not have nutrient delivery boosters, which should amplify the effects of these supplements. If you’re serious about building muscle the fastest way possible, take Gainz + PWOs + Protein and bind it all with NitroGenix 365. Thank me later.
